You must be logged in as a teacher/SLT member to access the Markbooks in Classroom Monitor
This page provides help for people using the markbooks via the browser on their tablet or smartphone. Please visit the app help pages if you want information on recording assessment via the app.
To access the tablet friendly version of the markbook, select Assessment Markbooks > Class Markbook from the homepage.
Then, you will need to make your choices from the markbook menu screen as normal. The only difference is that you will need to make sure that there is a tick in the 'Load tablet friendly markbook' box above the 'Load Markbook' button. If you are accessing Classroom Monitor from a mobile device this option will automatically be ticked.
When you load the markbook, things will look very similar to normal. However, clicking hexagons to record assessment is disabled - you may notice a slight grey colour over the hexagons to show this.
You will notice an orange glow around the text of each objective and each pupil's name. This is to show that you can touch on either of these areas to enter your assessment judgements.
Touching on an objective will take you to the screen you can see here. To record assessment, you need to touch on the relevant pupil name(s). You will see a tick appear next to their name(s) to show that they have been selected. You then touch on the colour of hexagon that you want to change their assessment to.
If you then want to record assessment for more children, you will need to touch the 'Deselect All' button at the top before repeating the process.
Touching on a pupil's name will take you to a similar screen as you can see here. To record assessment, you need to touch on the relevant objective(s). You will see a tick appear next to the selcted objective(s). You then touch on the colour of hexagon that you want to change their assessment to.
If you then want to record assessment for other objectives, you will need to touch the 'Deselect All' button at the top before repeating the process.
Pressing save will save your changes and return you to the class markbook. You will be taken via the scoring screen if there are any changes to scores that need to be checked. If you undo all of your changes using the red button, or haven't made any changes, you will need to press save to return to the Class Markbook. The new assessments will show in the markbook immediately.
