New Attainment and Progress Reports have been introduced to give you quicker, easier access to the data that schools are telling us that they need. Please note that this is the first release of these and further developments are already in the pipeline including: graphs, the ability to drill down further into data and other data reports that you will find useful.

NB Your school's Classroom Monitor admin user should check the related
school settings and an SLT user should check expectation settings before these reports can be used effectively.

Attainment and Progress Report Settings (Admin)
In order for everyone to be able to get to the data that they need, the admin user will need to check some settings.

Expectations Settings (SLT users)
In order to make these reports easy to digest and interpret, SLT users need to set 'expectations' for attainment and progress. Once set, these are used for reports generated by all users.

School Overview Report (SLT users)
Designed for high level monitoring and for sharing with governors, your MAT, Ofsted or your LA, this shows attainment and progress data for each year group in a format that requires little interpretation by the end user.

Year Group Overview Report (SLT users)
An overview of attainment and progress data for a particular year group, comparing groups within it.

Class Group Overview Report (All users)
An overview of attainment and progress data for any group that a user has access to, comparing the sub-groups within it.

Class Report (All users)
Designed with Pupil Progress Meetings in mind, this report visually shows the progress of individuals and allows you to directly dig down into the specifics for any pupils of interest.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access these reports?
Login and click on the link to Classroom Monitor 2018.

This opens the menu screen and you should click on the 'Progress' icon to see the relevant menu for these reports.

How does Classroom Monitor know what to classify as 'at' or 'above' expectations?
To make sure that this classification suits your approach, these
expectations settings are controlled by SLT users in your school. The settings used for any report are shown in a key at the bottom.

Can I look at historic data in this format?
You can select any month in the current academic year in the menu. However, remember that you may need to change the expectations to make them appropriate to that time of year.

Will our customised assessment framework work in these reports?
Most frameworks used by our customers have one ability level per year group, and any framework with this structure can be used. Frameworks with more than one ability level per year year group, or with ability levels that span year groups, can't be used at the moment.

Can I add different sub-groups into the data reports?
Not at the moment. The groups that are included are the ones that schools most commonly track. You can still access data for specific groups that are of interest in your school via Group Tracking.

Why aren't nursery/reception on my data reports?
The nature of the Early Years curriculum means that it doesn't fit very well within this format. You can still analyse your EYFS data via group and pupil tracking.

Pupils of the same age have a wide range of attainment in our school, will these reports work for us?
These particular data reports are designed to summarise attainment and progress in relation to age-related expectations set by your school. If you have wide ranges of attainment and progress then you may find
Pupil Tracking more suitable.

Can I find out which pupils are represented in each part of the table?
At the moment, most of these tables show summary data only but in later releases you will be able to drill down into pupil names. The
Class Report does give individual pupil information.
